"Gonzo" 2005 10 ft. Glen L Squirt
(Owned by Nathan Truax)
Inspired by Vanessa’s Hendren’s squirt, built by her father John in 2003, this Squirt version was built over the winter of 2004/05 by Dan Truax for his son Nathan after borrowing Vanessa’s Glen L plans. The funky upholstery was designed by Nathan’s mom Pam of Ship N Shore Canvas. The Truaxes, along with little sister Jeanne, are avid Muppet fans, and a visit to the Hendrens' one evening began a discussion, whereby John suggested that " Gonzo" would be an appropriate name for Nate’s Squirt! Gone … zo! The idea stuck, and "Gonzo" the 2005 Squirt became a reality. Nathan attended his first Association event joining the June 26 River Run Rendezvous down the Otonabee River to Golden Beach Resort at Rice Lake.
"Gonzo" has been a popular attraction at the Association's "Boats in the Mall" event for the past three years
