A 1957, 14 ft. Canadian Islander

(owned by Rick Seto)

This Boat is For Sale

This boat was purchased 3 years ago from the original owner who had just gone into a nursing home. It has spent most of its life in storage in the owner's barn. The boat came from the Havelock area and came equipped with an original Wiscot trailer, oars & a 1957 Johnson 7 ½ engine. All that was needed was a fresh coat of varnish. The boat is very tight & does not leak. The engine & tank are just like they came out of a crate. It has received new coils & points & plugs.
Unfortunately it must be sold to fund a new engine for the Peterborough Handyboy! (see below)

Boat is located in theHavelock area.

Price is $3500. for boat, trailer & a choice of engines:

A 1957 7 ½hp, OR a 1958 10hp Johnson.

(Boat # 2)
A 1958, 15 ft. Peterborough HandyBoy

This boat I purchased in the Ottawa area in the fall of 2008. The boat was previously owned by Manotick boat club member Dave Tilley , It was restored in 2001 at Wykes Brothers . I’m looking forward to launching it this spring & attending some meets . I am told it is a late 57 or early 58 model based on split bench seat in the front. It is currently powered by a unrestored 1958 Johnson 35 Super Sea Horse. It is enjoyed every weekend & throughout the summer months on Kasshabog Lake.
