Stalls and Does Not Restart
Twice in the past 2 weeks my new Murano ( < 3000 mi) has stalled and I could not restart it. I had to have it towed both times. I happended to be in 2 different cities so it was towed to 2 different dealers. Nether dealer could figure out what was wrong with it. The problem seems temporary. I am currently driving it with my fingers crossed.

Won't start and once started ,stalls and brakes
Hi,
The car won't start. And then started suddenly. Once started , would drive funny and wouldn't go over 20 miles/hr. it would apply brakes on its own and start stalling.
I shut down the engine and the again it won't start. However I removed the key and started again , the problem went away. The dealer couldn't figure the problem out and started lecturing me as to how to start the car , how to drive (what a bs!!).

trouble starting on a hot day.
Ok if it is a hot day, about 80 - 90, and the car is sitting in the sun, i have a little trouble starting. The engin will rev, but it won't just kick over for about 5 seconds (this was the worst).
i have had it looked into, but they were not sure what was wrong.
will update as more info comes.

Engine/starter makes wierd noise when starting
I bought my SL AWD in December 2002. It's got about 11,000 miles on it. As of about the past 3,000 miles, the engine or starter makes an unusual noise when I turn the engine over -- every time. Taking it to the dealer to troubleshoot with next oil change and will report back any findings. |

Standard headlights
Is it just me or when the standard headlights get dirty or wet they seem to lose a lot of their power. I came out of xenon on a Maxima and I have a lot of trouble with my lights. Dealer says nothing is wrong. Can anyone recommend bulbs to replace? Imitation xenon I've been told burn out quickly. thanks

coolant loss / leak
Also, a more serious problem... At 500 miles, I noticed the slight smell of coolant. I chalked it up to engine coating burnoff. Being very busy, I let it go until 5000 mi when I noticed the reservoir was nearly empty. When I took it to the dealer, the service advisor smelled it , but the tech could not find a leak. Anyone else had or heard of this problem? It still persists, and two dealers have just shrugged their shoulders. I'm about to go lemon law on this issue. Any help would be appreciated. |

Single Clicking Noise
03 Murano 25,000 miles has developed a faint single click noise when stopping or slowing down after normal driving. Noise is only heard inside cabin and seems to be coming from or near to gear selector. At the same time the noise can be heard it can be felt in the gear selector. Nissan garage could not locate source of noise. I have read threads on this site of others experiencing the same issue.
Has anyone had this fixed and what was the source? Thanks for the help. |

Power Window Lockout Switch
I have a 2006 SL. Is the PW lockout switch on the driver side armrest supposed to illuminate when the headlights and ignition are on?
All the other switches on that panel light up, but my PW switch doesn't. My dealer doesn't know whether it should illuminate or not, and the owner's manual doesn't say. |
